Abstract
⺠A HK-2 cells model of inflammation-induced acute kidney injury. ⺠Two oximetry methods: high resolution respirometry and ESR spectroscopy. ⺠Oxygen consumption rates of renal cells decrease when treated with LPS. ⺠Cells do not recover normal respiration when the LPS treatment is removed. ⺠This basal respiration alteration is a sign of pathologic metabolism down-regulation.
