Abstract
► 2-ADH coexists in a protein complex with pyruvate-ferredoxin oxidoreductase (PFOR). ► 2-ADH interacts with PFOR directly, either invitro or invivo. ► There are two forms of native 2-ADH in Thermoanaerobacter tengcongensis, PFOR bound and PFOR free. ► The enzyme activities of 2-ADH are inhibited by the interactions with PFOR. ► It is a kind of noncompetitive inhibition for PFOR to 2-ADH.
