Abstract
⺠Statins inhibits expression of Thioredoxin reductase 1 in rat and human liver tissue. ⺠Statin-mediated inhibition of Thioredoxin reductases may explain anti-carcinogenic effects of statins. ⺠Statin-mediated inhibition of Thioredoxin reductases may also explain other side-effects of statins.
