Abstract
► We examined molecular basis of chemokine BRAK expression in epithelial cell. ► BRAK was upregulated according to epithelial cell differentiation. ► Calcium/calmodulin signaling affected BRAK expression. ► A transcription factor SP1 binds to the BRAK promoter region. ► BRAK expression was upregulated by SP1 binding to its promoter.
