Abstract
⺠We use comparative proteomic strategy to identify 16 lupus-related proteins. ⺠Annexin A5 is overexpressed in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of SLE. ⺠Sera Annexin A5 levels of SLE are generally lower than healthy controls. ⺠High sera Annexin A5 levels correlated with lupus-related thrombophilia. ⺠Annexin A5 is partly not associated with its antibodies in the course of SLE.
