Abstract
⺠DNA methylation is associated with gene regulation. ⺠The differentially methylated regions (DMRs) were identified within 1000 bp upstream of intergenic miRNA. ⺠C[N]6CT pattern is frequently occurred in DMRs. ⺠The C[N]6CT sequence pattern in DMRs is a methylation-dependent regulatory motif for intergenic miRNA expression. ⺠C[N]6CT motifs in DMRs are likely to be an important site for intergenic miRNA regulation or recognition.
