Abstract
⺠Vanin pantetheinases are related to biotinidase and are conserved. ⺠Product of Vanin activity, cysteamine, regulates diverse cellular activities. ⺠Vanin genes have been implicated in the etiology of many diseases. ⺠Vanin genes influence cardiovascular disease phenotypes such as lipid profile.
