Abstract
⺠Pan-neuronal JNK knockdown reduces sleep and longevity in Drosophila. ⺠JNK heterozygous knockout flies show a reduction in sleep. ⺠JNK knockdown flies show a normal arousal threshold and rebound sleep. ⺠Lifespan of JNK knockdown is short, and even shorter on a low calorie diet. ⺠JNK knockdown in the mushroom body, not the pars intercerebralis reduces sleep.
