Abstract
⺠The Acrodysplasia (Adp) mutation arose from the transgene insertion. ⺠Precise imprinting mechanisms and transgene integration sites are not proven in Adp. ⺠The transgene was inserted into the intronic sequences of the Mdga2 gene. ⺠The transgene shows methylation in an imprinted manner in Adp. ⺠Methylation of the transgene seems to relate to the phenotypic expression of Adp.
