Abstract
⺠AMPK was inactivated together with higher AII level in the kidney of obese mice. ⺠AII-inhibition improved obesity-related AMPK inactivation and hypertension. ⺠AII infusion inactivated AMPK in the kidney and caused salt-sensitive hypertension. ⺠AMPK activation increased sodium excretion and improved salt-sensitive hypertension.
