Abstract
⺠In this study we present Mnl2 as a new component of the ERAD pathway. ⺠We propose that Mnl2 cooperates with Mnl1 in the generation of the glycan degradation signal. ⺠The recognition particle Yos9 cannot recognize the glycan structure of the ERAD substrate CPY* in the absence of Mnl1 and Mnl2. ⺠Mnl2 does not affect the degradation of unglycosylated substrate CPY*0000.
