Abstract
⺠Depletion of PIN1 increases inhibitory effect of calpastatin against calpain in endothelial cells. ⺠PIN1 associates with calpastatin. ⺠PIN1, but not mutants, reduces the inhibitory activity of calpastatin in vitro. ⺠Depletion of calpastatin shows that it is required for PIN1 depletion to reduce calpain activity.
