Abstract
⺠The sperm centriole is the progenitor of centrosomes in all somatic cells. ⺠Centrioles and centrosomes exist in parthenogenetic ovarian teratoma cells. ⺠Without a sperm centriole, parthenogenetic oocytes produce centrioles and centrosomes. ⺠Parthenogenetic human oocytes can develop and differentiate into mature cells.
