Abstract
⺠A novel epsilon isoform of nesprin-2 has been discovered. ⺠This 120 kDa protein was predicted by bioinformatic analysis, but has not previously been observed. ⺠It is the main isoform expressed in a teratocarcinoma cell line and is also found in ovary. ⺠Like other nesprins, it is located at the nuclear envelope. ⺠We suggest it may have a role in very early development or in some ovary-specific function.
