Abstract
⺠This study investigates the role of galectin-3 in leukemia escape of apoptotic stimuli. ⺠Inducible galectin-3 is required for leukemia cell survival under apoptotic stimuli. ⺠Stabilizing Bcl-2 family proteins are regulated for anti-apoptotic galectin-3. ⺠GSK-3β is activated for inducible galectin-3. ⺠GSK-3β/galectin-3 is important for the escape of leukemia from apoptotic stimuli.
