Abstract
► PRA1 was identified as a protein that interacts with α-synuclein in a phage display screen. ► PRA1 specifically interacts with α-synuclein in vitro and in neuronal cells. ► PRA1 and α-synuclein colocalized in neuronal cells. ► Coexpression of PRA1 and α-synuclein caused vesicles to translocate to the periphery of the cytosol. ► The results suggest that α-synuclein modulates vesicle trafficking through its interaction with PRA1.
