Abstract
⺠The tomato autophagy protein Atg8h is identified as an interactor with the plant cell death suppressor kinase Adi3. ⺠The Adi3/Atg8 interaction does not require Adi3 kinase activity. ⺠Adi3 weakly interacts with the other tomato Atg8 proteins Atg8a and Atg8f. ⺠Cosilencing of Adi3 with several autophagy genes augments the Adi3 silencing cell death phenotype.
