Abstract
⺠Region b/w â2164 and â1210 bp in TH promoter - involved in transcriptional repression of TH gene in NSC-specific manner. ⺠CpG islands in TH promoter in NSCs were fully methylated at all sites. ⺠CpG island in SH-SY5Y cells were hypomethylated. ⺠Treatment with 5-AzadC reactivated expression of the TH gene. ⺠MeCP2 binds to hypermethylated TH promoter region.
