Abstract
⺠Vimentin gene expression is regulated by CpG methylation of the promoter. ⺠One methylated CpG site prevents the YY1 binding to the promoter. ⺠YY1 can activate Vimentin expression. ⺠Inhibition of Vimentin expression by CpG methylation is elicited by the prevention of YY1-mediated transactivation.
