Abstract
► We report first time that ionizing radiation induces mitochondrial dynamic changes. ► Radiation-induced mitochondrial fission was caused by Drp1 localization. ► We found that radiation causes delayed ROS from mitochondria. ► Down regulation of Drp1 rescued mitochondrial dysfunction after radiation exposure.
