Abstract
⺠Expression profile of PMCAs is crucial for dopamine secretion in pheochromocytoma. ⺠PMCA2 or PMCA3 reduction causes a significant inhibition of dopamine secretion. ⺠An increase of [Ca2+]c, is not a sufficient to compensate reduced secretion. ⺠Endogenously upregulated PMCA4 interacts with catalytic subunit of calcineurin A. ⺠PMCA4-calcineurin A interaction participates in catecholamine secretion.
