Abstract
► Expression profile of PMCAs is crucial for dopamine secretion in pheochromocytoma. ► PMCA2 or PMCA3 reduction causes a significant inhibition of dopamine secretion. ► An increase of [Ca2+]c, is not a sufficient to compensate reduced secretion. ► Endogenously upregulated PMCA4 interacts with catalytic subunit of calcineurin A. ► PMCA4-calcineurin A interaction participates in catecholamine secretion.
