Abstract
► Report for the first time that vitamin C has a beneficial effect on the development of porcine SCNT embryos. ► The level of acH4K5 and Oct4 expression at blastocyst-stage was up-regulated after treatment. ► A higher rate of gestation and increased number of piglets born were harvested in the treated group.
