Abstract
⺠Glutathione is a reservoir of significant quantities of neuronal glutamate. ⺠Acivicin and 2I4C treatments decrease neuronal glutamate. ⺠Buthionine sulfoximine increases neuronal glutamate. ⺠The glutamate reservoir function of glutathione is temporally independent of antioxidant function.
