Abstract
⺠This article is our second report about the potential of keratan sulfate (KS) in the treatment of inflammatory disease. cf. BBRC 401 (2010) 463-468. ⺠Glycosaminoglycan release induced by IL-1α in the explants, and severity of arthritis in KS knockout mice were greater than their WT littermates mice. ⺠Administration of KS reduced the intraarticular inflammation in KS-deficient mice effectively.
