Abstract
⺠FGF agonist belonging to the same subfamily have similar properties in terms of FGFR1 homodimers and MAPK signaling. ⺠A significant correlation between BRET2 signaling and ERK1/2 phosphorylation of the FGFR1 exists. ⺠Pro-triplets (SSS and YGS) are postulated to participate in the FGFR1 homodimerization interface interaction. ⺠Evolutionary relationship within FGF gene family appears to have a distinct functional relevance.
