Abstract
⺠The tight junction protein tricellulin is expressed in epithelial and non-epithelial cells. ⺠Gastric epithelium exhibits tricellulin at bi- and tricellular tight junctions. ⺠Tricellulin expression is detected in macrophages throughout the gastric mucosa. ⺠Microglia, the brain resident immune cells, express tricellulin mRNA and protein.
