Abstract
► CaMps1p is an essential kinase of Candida albicans. ► LY83583, a guanylate cyclase inhibitor, inhibits the kinase activity of CaMps1p. ► LY83583 decreased the growth rate of C. albicans. ► Despite of its inhibitory effect on CaMps1p, LY83583 has no influence on human Mps1p activity.
