Abstract
► A novel PKCδ isoform, named PKCδIX, that lacks the C1 domain and the ATP-binding site is ubiquitously expressed. ► PKCδIX inhibits etoposide-induced apoptosis. ► PKCδIX may function as an endogenous dominant negative isoform for PKCδ.
