Abstract
► Gadd34 is induced in liver under starvation conditions. ► Gadd34 bind to and dephosphorylated pTSC2 at Thr1462. ► Dephosphorylation of TSC2 leads to the suppression of mTOR. ► Starvation-induced Gadd34 suppresses mTOR and, thereby, induces autophagy.
