Abstract
⺠PPARα activation increased mRNA expression levels of adipocyte differentiation marker genes and GPDH activity in human adipocytes. ⺠PPARα activation also increased insulin-dependent glucose uptake in human adipocytes. ⺠PPARα activation did not affect lipid accumulation in human adipocytes. ⺠PPARα activation increased fatty acid oxidation through induction of fatty acid oxidation-related genes in human adipocytes.
