Abstract
⺠In our previous studies, pLTA from Lactobacillus plantarum showed anti-inflammatory effects. ⺠We examine the structure of pLTA compared with aLTA from Staphylococcus aureus. ⺠pLTA possesses α-linked glucose and galactose substituents instead of GlcNAc on aLTA. ⺠The unsaturated fatty acids and third acyl chains are the distinctive features. ⺠The third acyl chains on glycolipids are identified by its diagnostic ions.
