Abstract
⺠This is the first report to show nutrient-regulated clusterin expression. ⺠Clusterin expression in hepatocytes was increased by high glucose concentration. ⺠SREBP-1c is directly involved in the transcriptional activation of clusterin by glucose. ⺠This glucose-stimulated activation process is mediated through tandem E-box motifs.
