Abstract
⺠We examined the effects of hepatocyte STAT3 signaling during cholestasis in mice. ⺠Hepatocyte STAT3 offered protection from liver injury and fibrogenesis after BDL. ⺠STAT3-dependent soluble factors released from hepatocytes directly suppressed activated HSCs.
