Abstract
⺠Inhibition of the production of Aβ is a widely pursed strategy for the treatment for Alzheimer's disease. ⺠β-Secretase and γ-secretase, which produce Aβ, are obvious targets for potential drugs that inhibit their activity. ⺠Modulation of APP processing without interfering with other signaling is an important therapeutic goal for the development of a secretase regulator. ⺠Two or more therapeutic approaches might ultimately be combined for greater success.
