Abstract
► We examined to clarify the repair pathways of formaldehyde-induced DNA damage. Formaldehyde induces DNA double strand breaks (DSBs). ► DSBs are repaired through the Fanconi anemia (FA) repair pathway. ► This pathway is independent of the FA nuclear core complex. ► We also found that homologous recombination repair was induced by formaldehyde.
