Abstract
⺠The tRNAGly/GlyRS system is a special case regarding protein structures and tRNA identity. ⺠This possibly reflects an evolutionary divergence of the system between different organisms. ⺠We show the crystal structure of a Thermus thermophilus tRNAGly acceptor stem at 1.6 Ã
resolution. ⺠The RNA structure and the surrounding hydration pattern are described. ⺠This study complements the structures of tRNAGly acceptor stem microhelices from E.coli and human.
