Abstract
⺠A new cDNA and gDNA of chitin synthase (OfCHSB) from Ostrinia furnacalis was obtained and characterized. ⺠OfCHSB is indirectly stimulated by ecdysone. ⺠OfCHSB functions in insect peritrophic matrix according to its transcription pattern during the development. ⺠OfCHSB localizes in Golgi apparatus.
