Abstract
⺠First report to demonstrate an in vivo expression system of an ABC multidrug transporter CgCdr1p of C. glabrata. ⺠First report on the structure and functional characterization of CgCdr1p. ⺠Functional conservation of divergent but typical residues of CgCdr1p. ⺠CgCdr1p elicits promiscuity towards substrates and has a large drug binding pocket with overlapping specificities.
