Abstract
⺠p76Rb and p100Rb have distinct roles from full-length Rb in cell death regulation. ⺠p76Rb triggers cell death in HEK293T, HT1080, SAOS-2, TC7 and HT29 cell lines. ⺠p100Rb can inhibit cell death in HT1080 and SAOS-2 cell lines. ⺠p76Rb regulates cell death by inducing the mitochondrial pathway of apoptosis. ⺠p100Rb decreases p53 and caspase activities in HT1080 cells.
