Abstract
⺠Neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) increases oxidative stress after lung injury and sepsis. ⺠nNOS-gene deficiency prevents the development of oxidative/nitrosative stress in the lung. ⺠However, nNOS-gene deficiency does not improve survival in this murine sepsis model.
