Abstract
⺠Neuronal CaV channels are implicated in neurological and psychiatric diseases. ⺠Cacna1 genes can generate many CaV channel isoforms through alternative splicing. ⺠Cell-specific splicing factors control the pool of CaV mRNA splice isoforms. ⺠Individual splicing events impact cell function and behavior. ⺠Expression of CaV splice isoforms can influence drug efficacy and disease severity.
