Abstract
⺠We present a 1D Fokker-Planck simulation on DNA translocation through an electropore under finite pulses. ⺠Translocation may occur on the electrophoretic or the diffusive time scale. ⺠We find a power-law correlation between the probability of successful translocation and the governing parameters. ⺠The diffusive time scale is used to explain the frequency dependence in AC/DC electroporation experiments. ⺠This work provides quantitative predictions for further experimental validation and understanding.
