Abstract
⺠Surfacen is a cholesterol-depleted clinical pulmonary surfactant of porcine origin. ⺠Interfacial adsorption, compressibility and stability of Surfacen mimic those of native surfactant. ⺠Surfacen films exhibit a particularly marked and stable segregation of ordered phases. ⺠A network of interconnected nanostructures sustains the surface properties of Surfacen.
