Abstract
⺠Syndecan-4 was incorporated in lipid monolayer. ⺠Cell culture that over-expresses syndecan-4 expands lipid monolayers. ⺠Growth factor interacts with sulfate in heparan chains. ⺠This interaction relaxes the DPPC monolayer. ⺠The monolayer becomes more condensed.
