Abstract
⺠The plasmodial surface anion channel exhibits voltage-dependent inactivation. ⺠Both inactivation and recovery are voltage-dependent with a small effective valence. ⺠Inactivation requires washout of cytosol and is affected by intracellular protease. ⺠A model based on charged domains of the channel protein is presented.
