Abstract
⺠Membrane-localized insulin receptors can each bind at least two insulin molecules. ⺠Insulin restricts lateral diffusion of membrane-localized insulin receptors. ⺠Clustering of insulin receptors is reduced by disrupting actin filaments. ⺠Clustering of insulin receptors is not reduced by depleting membrane cholesterol.
