Abstract
⺠SMA-lipid matrix models varying in composition and surface charge prepared. ⺠ATR-FTIR detected SMA-induced reorganization in packing of lipid molecules. ⺠DSC revealed thermotropic phase behavior change and fluidization of vesicles. ⺠NMR identified changes in polar regions and weak immobilization of SMA in bilayers. ⺠Presence of SMA affected structural integrity of model membranes.
