Abstract
► RIM proteins operate as effectors of Rab3, a small G protein involved in secretory vesicle trafficking. ► Ca2 + entry through CaV channels leads to the exocytosis of secretory vesicles. ► Through multiple interactions, RIMs regulate CaV channel activity and anchoring to the sites of release. ► CaV channels and RIMs interaction contribute to determine different aspects of secretion.
