Abstract
⺠The membrane properties of N-cholesteryl sphingomyelin was examined. ⺠The compound formed liquid-ordered bilayers resistant to Triton X-100. ⺠The compound had more cholesterol- than sphingomyelin-like properties. ⺠The compound could constitute a good lipocomplex matrix for drug delivery vehicles.
