Abstract
âºAβ insertion into DPPG monolayers in water exhibits a temperature dependent lag time. âºThe presence of trehalose eliminates the lag time before Aβ insertion starts. âºMore peptide is inserted into the monolayer in the water subphase. âºTrehalose reduces the conformational change that Aβ undergoes when it inserts. âºAβ inserts parallel to the monolayer in water and with a 50° angle in the trehalose subphase.
